Good afternoon!

In today's class we've done the second course exam through the moddle platform.

First we connected to Google Meet at 12:00, until 12:00, so our teacher would explain the exam overall.

Then we started doing it, and we've had ten more minutes than we did in the previous exam.

The questions have been very varied: short answer, unite, fill holes,... Some questions have been difficult, especially those of the phrasal verbs, but the others have generally been quite easy.

Once we have completed the review, we immediately got the note in the App and we have been able to review our mistakes. After all, it's practically finished the subject and we're almost all passed!

All students are very happy to have passed the exam and to have done this subject which has been very fun.

Good afternoon!

Very soon the integrating skills course ends for all the students who tomorrow pass the exam and have also passed the part of the projects and Moodle activities.

First, we are going to explain how this subject seemed to us.

From the first day, all the objectives that we should achieve were very clear and what the purpose of our teacher was: to learn. He told us that it was not a very difficult subject, but we would have to work and try a lot, some more than others, because obviously there are people with a higher level of English than others.

On the other hand, the subject has been very well structured: A first exam of the first three topics, which we have worked in class through Nearpod, Moodle, Kahoot and YouTube, and another second exam of the next three topics that we have worked  the same way.In total we have done four projects with four videos explaining each one and after we have published in a blog created by us the project and the video.

However, although the subject has been very well structured, for those of us who do not have a high level of English, it seems that the topics have been taught a bit quickly and we have needed more time in the exam, although we understand that it is the time that should be given us for that reason that we do the test from our homes and we have more help.

In addition to this, we emphasize that considering the circumstances due to covid19, the classes have been very fun. Our teacher has taught us through activities of different types, songs, apps in which we could record our voices, videos, games, different apps (Kahoot, Nearpod, Climb to climb, ...).

But ... have we only learned English?

The answer is no. We have learned English, especially a lot of grammar, for us perhaps too much, but this subject has also taught the different educational systems of the English culture and many other cultures.  In addition, we have also learned how to be effective with the use of new technologies that are currently so necessary to know, for this reason through the different projects we have used many apps that we did not know; to create an interactive poster, a blog, an infographic, games to learn English.

In addition to all this, our teacher has been very positive, innovative, comprehensive and has always been at our disposal.

Finally, we can say that although it has been a lot of work in a very short time, due to the way the classes are taught, the subject has been easier and much more enjoyable.
✋😋

 Good Morning

In today's class we have done a review through the "kahoot" application with 55 questions of all the concepts which we will examine tomorrow through the moddle application.

Do you want to know what concepts we have studied and how will the exam be?

The concepts to study are phrasal verbs, gerunds and infinitives, relative and passive voice.

On the other hand, the exam will last 1 hour and 10 minutes and will have 9 content questions and 21 grammar questions. In addition, we can see the result of the exam when we have finished it and the mistakes we have made.

Good Morning!❤✋✌

In today's class during the first 10 minutes the teacher has asked us the following questions:

How many of you have attended a private school?

How many of you have gone to a bilingual school?

how many do you two college parents have?

How many have you been able to travel to a foreign place to learn English?

How many have you had a smartphone or computer in the last three years?

Next we have visualized a video that is the following.

In this video, through a career he shows what life is like. There are a few runners on the starting line and there are two steps to be taken by those who affirm some questions that one man directs for all.

Some people stay ahead of others, and they will have an advantage, but that does not mean that whoever is four steps behind, cannot win the race.

This video is intended to show what life is like, because many times other people have more opportunities than us but that does not mean anything, with effort everything can be achieved.

We currently live in a society and in a country where luckily with the invention of technology our life has become much easier, providing us with equal opportunities.

Although it is true that those people who cannot have access to today's technologies have more difficulties.

Despite what our teacher has tried to tell us, focusing on English classes is that obviously we all start from a different level due to our circumstances, but what matters is attitude, effort, the desire to learn and learn. "It's not about competing with the rest of your teammates, winning or losing, but rather that from your position on the starting line you reach the finish line just like the rest"

Good afternoon!

Today we have worked the phrasal verbs that are very used in the English language and there are about 10,000.

Through different activities, videos and songs our teacher has explained how to use the phrasal verbs.

These, they may have literal or figurative meaning. They can also be transitive or intransitive .

Transitive phrasal verbs can be separated; verb and preposition can be between the verb and the particle. There are also transitive phrasal verbs that cannot be separated.

On the other hand, intransitive phrasal verbs can be never separated.

There are phrasal verbs that have more than one particle, for example “ make off with”, their particles cannot be separated.

In addition to this, the same phrasal verb can have different meanings depending on their context, so the best way to teach children is through context.Although we can also teach phrasal verbs through verbs or prepositions.

Finally, to go over the concepts that the teacher is explaining to us, we use a game called “Time to Climb “in which we choose our avatar and we answer a few questions. According to the speed of our answers, we are moving faster or slower the mountain. We competed with our partners.

Today we also tried a new game, in which a three-dimensional image appeared, we watched it and then we had to draw it in two minutes.

Virtual classes are also fun because we learn from different Good afternoon!

Good afternoon!
In today's class we have learned how to use gerunds and infinitives.
Our teacher has taught us the theory and we have been doing different exercises through nearpod.
Gerunds and infinitives, we have seemed a bit complicated because although there are some rules to know how to use them, in some cases the gerund and the infinitive can be used.
In addition, sometimes the same verb can have different meanings depending on whether it is accompanied by a gerund or an infinitive, for example:
Stop + gerund = stop doing something permanently.
Stop + infinitive = stop doing something to continue doing something else.
Regret + Gerund = Repent of something in the future.
Regret + Infinitive = Repent of something from the past.
Remember + Gerund = Remember something from the past.
Remember + Infinitive = Remember something you must do in the future.
Try + Gerund = Experiment.
Try + Infinitive = Something Planned.
Go on + Gerund = Continue doing the same thing.
Go on + Infinitive = Introduce changes.

Project 3

Good afternoon!

In this third project we have focused as the main theme on plants.

This project is an interactive poster, in which content on different media is mixed; videos, images, ...

In this way we can work in a much more dynamic way with children.

In this project we have used the genially program. Then we have selected the videos and images with which we were going to work.

To carry out this project in a class we will use two sessions more or less.

On the digital screen we will first display the video about the parts of the part. Then the children will read the picture about the parts of the plant and then they will do the crossword.

After that we will explain the cycle of plant life through an image.

Next, we will watch a video about pollination and then the children will answer a question to make sure they have understood the concepts explained in the video.

Later we will watch another video that explains photosynthesis and after this the children will perform comprehension exercises.

Then through an image they will make a reading about how a plant grows.

Finally, we will visualize the last video on how to take care of plants and what benefits they have.
